Blaupunkt Brand Licensing Celebrates Its First Appearance at the Hong Kong Electronics Fair With New Product Lines and Licensee
The Blaupunkt Brand Licensing Program recently completed its first appearance at the Spring Edition of the Hong Kong Electronics Fair with great success. In addition to displaying the broad range of Blaupunkt-branded products currently available, GIP Development, the manager of the Blaupunkt brand, also announced a new branded product lines and a new licensee for the Blaupunkt Brand Licensing and Management program.
The program now includes more than 35 different, independent, brand partner companies, but their harmonized brand appearance and unified design further reinforced the value of the storied Blaupunkt name and its “Blue Dot” identity across the globe. “The Hong Kong Fair was the perfect place to present an overview of both the products already sold under the Blaupunkt brand, as well as to present the benefits of a brand licensing program to both manufacturers and distributors”, commented Andrzej Cebrat, Managing Director of GIP Development, the licensor for the Blaupunkt brand. “As an indication of the strength of the brand”, continued Andrzej Cebrat, Blaupunkt products were not only featured in our own two-story booth, but they were also displayed in the HK Fair’s Hall of Fame.”
During the Fair, it was announced that a new licensee Trigur Electronic India has joined the list of licensees for the sale of Blaupunkt-branded televisions in India. In addition, two existing licensees took advantage of the opportunity to show their expanded range of new products to buyers. Poland-based Mateko, Brand Licensee for air conditioning and air treatment products presented its portfolio to key market players such as wholesalers and distributors. One of their new product highlights was voice-controlled air conditioners, air-purifiers and dehumidifiers that are compatible with voice assistant from Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
Also on display for the first time at an international trade show was the product portfolio SKN Global, Global Brand Licensee for BLAUPUNKT-branded Power Tools and Lawn and Garden Tools and other related products.
The display’s impact led more than 200 visitors to speak with Blaupunkt licensing experts, setting the stage for additional licensees to come in the year ahead. “This strong reception to our unified, global brand identity and comprehensive licensing program, combined with the proof point of both new product categories being added and the addition of an additional licensee, underscores how the Blaupunkt program is expandable and offers great benefit and adds value to a line.”, concluded Andrzej Cebrat.
Based on the positiv reaction to their showing in Hong Kong, the Blaupunkt Brand Program and its licensees’ products will be on display again this year at the IFA show in Berlin Germany from August 31st to September 5th,2018.
